“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

– James Baldwin

We are super excited to be part of The Hot Seat Event at 12:30 PM UK Time on 19 November via our accomplices Collette Philip and the Brand by Me Team. Our Founder and Chief Purpose Officer, Sulaiman, will be chatting about the need for an intersectional approach to Anti-Racism within your organisation.

“The focus of our discussion will be what to do if you’re called out as a brand. How do you react? How do you avoid getting defensive and prioritise the need to address the harm caused by your organisation over the instinct to focus on protecting reputation?

And as always, we’ll end a practical action exercise to help you embed and take forward what you learned in the session.”

See you there if you dare!

Aunty Angela Davis says it best:

“We are not afraid to adopt a revolutionary stance — if, indeed, we wish to be radical in our quest for change — then we must get to the root of our oppression. After all, radical simply means ‘grasping things at the root.’”
